The Ivey’s Hotel redefines luxury travel, offering the finest accommodations and impeccable service. Ideally located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte, guests will enjoy a Five-Star experience with convenient access to Charlotte’s energetic central business and sports districts, and the area’s most esteemed cultural venues and dining establishments.
The beautiful boutique hotel is the result of an extensive, multi-million dollar renovation. Carefully preserved, the building’s landmark characteristics sparked the vision to create a luxury boutique property that evokes the history of Charlotte and surpasses all expectations for distinguished travelers.
For those who enjoy the art of luxury, our 42 stylishly appointed rooms feature reclaimed 400-year-old French oak floors, custom designed lighting fixtures, bespoke furnishings, Frette Italian bedding, alongside a curated art collection on view throughout the hotel. The entire property is exquisitely decorated with an eclectic mix of custom-made art deco and Parisian-inspired details and modern richness. No two rooms are the same, so our guests are stimulated anew each time they stay.
Charlotte natives and travelers alike have welcomed this 42-room boutique getaway that blends the city’s history with a new, modern twist. Charlotte was originally built at the crossroads of two Native American trading paths – Trade and Tryon. The Ivey’s Hotel is located one block away from this historic intersection, which is still the heart of Charlotte’s Uptown central business district and entertainment zone.
Famed architect William H. Peeps originally designed the historic Ivey’s building, which debuted in the early 1900s as the home of J.B. Ivey & Company Department Store.
The Ivey’s Library Lounge provides the most discerning travelers with access to experience a comfortable getaway from busy city life throughout their stay. Reclaimed, hand-crafted wood and handsome leather seating complement this private, guests-only executive Library Lounge, located on the 2nd floor.
Whether it is for a freshly roasted espresso, an important meeting, a hideaway to indulge in a glass of Burgundy, or simply a spot to relax and read a book, The Ivey’s Library Lounge offers the perfect ambiance to complement your stay at The Ivey’s.
Named after Queen Charlotte, Sophia’s offers a royally outfitted setting in the heart of Uptown on 5th Street in The Ivey's Hotel.
